In 2017 the Arizona Legislature passed a bill exempting real estate brokers and salesmen from the manufactured home sales licensure requirements required under state law. This allows licensed brokers and salesmen to sell manufactured homes which are located in rental communities in the State without having to get a separate manufactured housing dealer or broker license from the Department of Housing. MHCA was the main supporter of this legislation since many of their members saw value in working with the real estate industry. Today homes in some of the nicer parks in Arizona are selling for over $350,000. After getting the bill passed, MHCA worked with attorneys who were familiar with the real estate industry to draft proposed forms to be used for sales. We will be discussing not only the proposed forms for selling a manufactured home, but the required forms to be filed with the State, and some sections of the Mobile Home Park Landlord Tenant Act a real estate person must be familiar with dealing in this arena.
